On May 5 2 friends of mine where in a very nasty car accident in front of my house. My friend Mitch came out of the accident with only a broken rib. My other friend nick wasn't as lucky, he is suffering from swelling around the brain, and has been in the ICU for 28 days under Induced coma. His hospital bills have exceeded 1 million dollars, and his health insurance will no longer pay for it. His family can't afford the bills so we are asking for donations, by selling bracelets.

If anyone would like to help out by purchasing a bracelet you can do so by going here!

For more information feel free to send me a PM.

    Thank You,
    Domreis

Domeris ... I saw the photos in the site you provided; it's heart breaking to see such a young and vital kid and know he's in that condition. Domeris, is there any chance for him? I'll buy a bunch of bracelets soon. I know its tough for you as his friend; I've been there too often. They don't cost much, I hope you have a good response from the members....Gerry

The doctors are saying he has a 40% chance of a making a full recovery. The have just taken him off the feeding and breathing tube, and he is able to speech, it just takes him a long time to make a sentence. He is still confined to the ICU as they have taken pieces of his skull out to relive the swelling. It is going to be a slow and long process.
    Thanks for the support!

Are you allowed to visit him, Domeris? (I figured a little dialog here will keep your post up front where people can see it!) I think your participation in this venture is admirable; a lot of people would just sit back and feel sorry for their friend which is understandable though not particularly helpful. It's also a good feeling to do something to help ... helps out both parties, actually.

I'm from the South of England - place called Reading.

Anyway, shouldn't drag this thread off topic.

If I ever remember to put some money in my PayPal account, I might actually remember to buy a bracelet thing Domreis. :)

Yeah I know of Reading. Anyway, I would also help out too but I'm too young to get a PayPal. Wish I could help out more, best I can do is keep him in my prayers.

I thank you all! I am also to young for paypal... My dad created an account for me under his name! I am becoming an ebay addict! I am not worried about Mitch's broken rib I am worried about the emotional pain because Mitch was driving.

Nick is doing much better. He got his Bacon Cheese Burger today... I still can't talk well but he is responding to us and the doctors!

Edit: I changed the tittle because he is no longer in critical condition...

I think I may still have that $2 they charge you to confirm your card.
I hope your friends get better and are doing well. It's not often that I can take things seriously, but this I can. A friend is just now recovering over the death of a mutual friend. Again, I hope your friends are doing better, will look at those bracelets.

Thank You! So much Nicht! He is doing somewhat better. They have taken him off a few meds and he may even be moved to our local hospital which is an hour closer... I will post more info later, I am busy at the moment.

    Thank You
