okay simply looking into this section I'm sure many of you want to play ps1 backups on your ps2. here is my situation I've been trying to ply MGS1 on my ps2 for over a year now and no luck I've tried a whole bunch of shit. so if anyone can tell me how to play it i would appreciate it. i got one of those big ps2's and dunno exactly what mod chip but i think it's the apple 75 k. it said there were 3 boot methods one for ps2 games which works fine one for dvds which also works fine and one for ps1 games which i don't even remember anymore how to do. but after trying a shit load of stuff it still doesn't work. to play ps2 games i just gotta restart it a couple times for it to work. then for dvds i hold the reset till blue light turns on and this works flawlessly.

well that's most of the useful information if anyone needs any more info to help me get out of this little conundrum i would be glad to tell you. so if anyone knows any method out there for me to play my mgs1 i would appreciate it soo much .

I'm pretty sure that MGS 1 is protected from modchips. To make sure you can try running some other PSX games. If it's protected, you can download a patch for the game that takes off the protection, but I don't know where to get it, so you have to google it yourself.
