I've been thinking about getting a budget HDTV or a computer monitor to use as a secondary monitor for my laptop and for playing PS3 and DVD's. It's main purpose is to be a second monitor for my laptop for working in Logic Pro, but I thought hey why not kill to birds with one stone and get something to play my PS3 in HD with. I've been looking at the 24" Gateway FPD2485W and the Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP-HC on the monitor side. Don't know much about HDTV's and which budget ones are worth it. I wanted to get some feedback on which way would be the better way to go. For an HDTV I'd like something within $200ish above the Dell. Thanks for the help.

Go with the Dell 24". Better resolution than any cheap HDTV (supports 1080 through component, VGA and DVI), and can be used as a kickass PC monitor. I had one and loved it, I only changed to go for a bigger screen.
