Ok folks here it goes. I used XBOXHDM 1.9 to upgrade my hard drive FTPed the files from my original to PC the C & E folders. made the iso. just like the tutes on a softmodded system using Shademands ready made softmod Put the drive in got an error 06. After I got this error I then realized that when I locked the drive I used the wrong eeprom.

I used ConfigMagic to generate the eeprom but instead of using the eeprombackup file it creates I mistakingly used the one in the ConfigMagic's E:Apps\ConfigMagic\Data folder.

Now cant access this drive at all using any of the Lock\Unlock tools.

My BIOS picks it up but nothing else does. I've tried em all ATAPWD, HDUNLOCK, HDLOCK, XBOXHDM HDD Unlock Wizard even the hotswap method and to avail nothing recognizes the drive now.

Please can anyone help me out here.

BTW the drive is a SamsungSP0802N

    TIA

You should still have the eeprom that you locked with...

    Just unlock the drive again.

AS for your Xbox though, refer to my previous comment!

I do have the EEPROM that was in the ConfigMagic data folder that I used. How do I go about unlocking this drive when none of the lock/unlock programs will detect it, only the BIOS does.

If i can get to read by any of these tools I can hopefully redo the drive and use the correct EEPROM this time.

if you used xboxhdm to create this drive, then have you tried to unlock it using the iso you created?

I tossed that particular disk since I found out I used the wrong eeprom with it. I think, but not really too sure, if I even put the eeprom from that ConfigMagic data folder in the eeprom folder @ all.

I still got my orignal drive backed up to my pc should I just try a couple a xboxhdm disks one with the eeprom I used in the folder and one without.

Try any eeprom you find lying around, if it unlocks you're in business!
