Well im having problem with converting the avi file with the subtitles to a mpg file. As in divx to vcd with subtitles. I read the guide for divx to vcd here: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/divx_to_vcd.cfm
i did convert one cd and it came out perfect but then another cd is giving me some trouble.

i think the problem is with Besliced when i first drag and drop the audio file in there it gives me a opition either wav/mp3/mp2/....
i picked mp2 for the first cd and it came out good. but when i click mp2 for the second cd it gives me these:

but when i run the fixed file again with be sliced, i get a choice to fix it. so when i click that, this is what i get:
    [00:00:00:000] +------- BeSplit -----
    [00:00:00:000] | Input : C:\MOVIE\audio.ac3_Fixed.mp2

i assume that there is something wrong with the audio file but when i play the file it plays very fine just the video has some glitches but not very long and it is only hapenning from the time gap from 6:21 - 6:40 as also said on the error's.

Then when i go into TMPGEnc to join both the audio with the video from the multiplexing it gives me a error and the movie gets converted up to 6:18. Then it gives me an error.

So my question is how can i join both the audio with the viedo with out giving any errors?

If some 1 can help me it would be great!!!

    Thanks

It seems you used a bad option in the sound encoding, like the .MP2 copression of the audio file used VBR instead of CBR encoding. Try to use http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd2vcd_with_smart_dvd2avi_tmpgenc.cfm and, if you need it, compress
MPEG-1 --> AVI later. The subtitles can be adde by TMPGenc+FFDShow when you make the mpeg, or by VirtualDub whan you make the AVI.
The 'DVD to VCD with SmartRipper DVD2AVI and TMPGenc' method ignores the sync of the AC3 stream, uncompresses it to WAV and use it as TMPGenc 'Audio input'. Nothing easier. And if you need to put the sound stream to an AVI, compress it to MP3, not to MP2. AVI become crazy once when they deal with MP2 audio stream.

hmm i think i might hav not mensioned it right,

    I have a xvid.avi file
I did try with Mp2,Mp3,Wav and Ac3....none worked
I would also like the end format to be mpg so i can put it on a vcd
I also dont have the dvd

My first file came out perfect but the second one didnt but they both come from the same movie.

should i still try the dvd stuff and i have one more problem i dont have 10Gb of space as it says on the guide....

    Thanks for ur help:)

orr...is there any way i could just like cut that 1 min from the movie and how would i do that.
i did try to like cut the part of the movie with no sound and it works fine but when i put the sound n movie together its off by like 10 secs or more.

Is there any way i could just cut the xvid.avi file and then seperate the sound n movie n then put them together....would that work??

    any help is always thankful:)
