Hey guys, i'm pretty new here so I don't know if other people have had this problem in the past. I read the guide on making backups and i read a lot of other people's threads too but i can't seem to find a solution to my problem.

I am able to connect my xbox to my pc through a router using FlashFXP. i see all the folders and everything only when I have the Evox dashboard cd in the xbox. if i try loading up with a game, i can't connect to the xbox. if i load up with the evox cd and then put the game in, the D folder only has one file in it. I've tried everything but I don't know what i'm doing wrong so if anyone can help me out or point me to another thread, i will really appreciate it. thanks a lot!

I just softmodded a few days ago and I had a similar problem. I could FTP and "see" the files on my Xbox, but I couldn't copy them to my computer. All I could do was look, not change anything. This was with FlashFXP, which appeared to be working fine but really wasn't.

Then I tried SmartFTP, and it works perfectly. See if this helps. I have Evox on my Xbox though, not a disc, so it may be a different situation.

All I know is that you won't be able to connect/ftp to your xbox if you load a game up. EvoX is not a backround operation, so when the game is loaded up, Evox is closed down, therefore the ports that would normally be open for ftp'ing are also closed. Sorry to sound technical.
I don't see why you have your evox on a disc, why not copy it from the disc to your box, or instal slayers evox?

i do have the evox installed on my xbox but the ftp connection only seems to work when i put that original evox cd in the drive. when i start up the xbox with a game, i see the evox logo but the ftp connection doesn't work. i'll keep trying i guess. thanks for the input.
