You could get a chip + install combo for $120 with warranty and such, you just have to keep an eye out for who does it.

I wonder who. I suggest the Messiah 2 or the Magic 3.1. In my opinion the Magic 3.1 is better because it has the same functions at a lower cost with the same quality.

i think i am going to get a magic 3.1 and try to find someone to instal it for me. could i take it to a system repair place and get it done? or should i try to find an expert?

System repair places should be experts, wouldn't you think? However, you should find someone that does it regularly and gives a guarantee, TV repair shops and other places will say "I'll give it a try, but if I mess it up that's your problem."

I have a PS2 V7 and a magic 3.5 with clip. Who has experience on installing them on a regular basis. I do not have a steady hand and would like to have it done. PM me
