I’ve burned a good number of DVDs using Shrink and Nero with a variety of different media, but recently had problems using Ritek G04’s. They’re supported media according to the Pacific Digital web site (rebadged LiteOn 811s), but each one I’ve tried so far has failed. It seems like its going to work, burns all the way to 100%, but then I get a message saying “Could not perform end of Disc-at-once” and that the burn has failed. There must me some setting I don’t have correct, but I don’t know what it is. I’d really appreciate it if someone could help, as I purchase 100 of these suckers based on the good reviews I’ve seen. Thanks, Mike Here’s the log from Nero… Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: File 'Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=4.57 (1008), size=48128 bytes, created 12/22/1997 7:23:24 PM ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.68, size=160016 bytes, created 7/22/2004 5:33:44 PM Nero version: 6.3.1.25 Recorder: <LITE-ON DVDRW LDW-811S> Version: HS0R - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.3.1.25 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ATAPI CD-ROM: <LITE-ON DVDRW LDW-811S >Version: HS0R - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.3.1.25 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : ST360015A atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On DiskPeripheral : WDC WD1200JB-00DUA3 atapi Port 0 ID 1 DMA: Off CdRomPeripheral : LITE-ON DVDRW LDW-811S atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : _NEC CD-RW NR-9300A atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: Off === CDRom-Device-Map === LITE-ON DVDRW LDW-811S D: CDRom0 _NEC CD-RW NR-9300A G: CDRom1 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 83886080 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 638MB (654284kB) Free physical memory: 444MB (454904kB) Memory in use : 30 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Static Write Speed Table: 0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 15.10.2004 UDF/ISO compilation 5:25:48 PM #1 Phase 112 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1855 DVD-Video files reallocation started 5:25:49 PM #2 Phase 114 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1855 DVD-Video files reallocation completed (no file modified) 5:25:49 PM #3 Text 0 File Isodoc.cpp, Line 6083 Iso document burn settings ------------------------------------------ Determine maximum speed : FALSE Simulate : FALSE Write : TRUE Finalize CD : TRUE Multisession : FALSE Burning mode : DAO Mode : 1 ISO Level : 1 (Max. of 11 = 8 + 3 char) Character set : ISO 9660 Joliet :FALSE Allow pathdepth more than 8 directories : TRUE Allow more than 255 characters in path : TRUE Write ISO9660 ;1 file extensions : TRUE 5:25:49 PM #4 Phase 111 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1855 DVD-Video files sorted 5:25:49 PM #5 Text 0 File Reader.cpp, Line 126 Reader running 5:25:49 PM #6 Text 0 File Writer.cpp, Line 124 Writer LITE-ON DVDRW LDW-811S running 5:25:49 PM #7 ISO9660GEN -11 File geniso.cpp, Line 3899 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 5:25:49 PM #8 ISO9660GEN -11 File geniso.cpp, Line 3899 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 5:25:49 PM #9 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3152 Turn on Disc-at-once, using DVD media 5:25:49 PM #10 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 247 Last possible write address on media: 2298495 (510:46.45, 4489MB) Last address to be written: 2253343 (500:44.43, 4401MB) 5:25:49 PM #11 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 259 Write in overburning mode: NO (enabled: CD) 5:25:49 PM #12 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 2162 Recorder: LITE-ON DVDRW LDW-811S, Media type: DVD-R Disc Manufacturer: RITEKG - 04 Disc Application Code: 64, Disc Physical Code: 193 5:25:49 PM #13 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 420 >>> Protocol of DlgWaitCD activities: <<< ========================================= 5:25:49 PM #14 Text 0 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 813 Setup items (after recorder preparation) 0: TRM_DATA_MODE1 (CTransferItem) 2 indices, index0 (150) not provided original disc pos #0 + 2253344 (2253344) = #2253344/500:44.44 relocatable, disc pos for caching/writing not required/required, no patch infos -> TRM_DATA_MODE1, 2048, config 0, wanted index0 0 blocks, length 2253344 blocks [LITE-ON DVDRW LDW-811S ] -------------------------------------------------------------- 5:25:49 PM #15 Text 0 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 984 Prepare recorder [LITE-ON DVDRW LDW-811S ] for write in CUE-sheet-DAO DAO infos: ========== MCN: "" TOCType: 0x00;
