    hi guys,
    iv been using DVDShrink and Nero to Burn with as of late no problems, , i was trying to backup a few movies in the last 4 days and have got nothing but coasters at east 9 in a row, i have noticed that the "USER READ BUFFER" goes straight to 100% and then starts to burn, the " Buffer Level" goes to 100% and then were away , but then as the "completed % bar" starts to increase the user read buffer starts to decrease and goes down to 0% and also the buffer level fluciates up and down and then about 20% into the burn i get a failure,
    im using the same discs , Laser tygo4's , in my sony dru-700a , with all firmware and nero updates in place,and i run nothing else when i burn, here is a copy of the last Log file, any help would be appreciated
    regards
    Steve

    @Demo38 - there's a chunk of your log missing...
    i've not come across that media before, but post the missing part of your log minus serial number of course.. coukld be DMA settings, media, burner firmware etc, but can't say without rest of log..

    @demo38
    It looks like you're using TY G02 media, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/164352 is a thread that might help you out.

    oops i honestly don't know why i posted that i didnt recognise the tyg02 (especially as i've used hundreds of crappy bulkpaq's with same code...). Must have had beer googles on or something...

    edit- Oh i know what it is i meant to have typed that i hadn't heard of Laser. I probably blacked out in anger at all the tyg02 bulkpaq's that i know are gonna skip when i watch them grrrr !!
