The USB device seems to look for a WiFi conection to connect to a Wireless signal/web. It's my understanding that the one you have listed does not create the wiresless network. There's no need to plug it into the PS3 either as it comes out of the box with a Wifi wireless connector. Sounds like you need a Wireless router.

WTF it was a great post and a great question to ask for help on. After aout 6 hours total i figured it out. What i was trying to do was : Share my PC connection with the PS3 wirelessly with a USB wifi adapter. After using a wifi max driver it worked.
