Red means it can't read the disk. Most likely it's your game that you burned. Post what program and what speed you burned at, and it will give others more of an idea. The type of media you use also makes a difference.

Ok I will give you detailed step by step instructions.

Step 1. Put the swap magic disc into your console and wait until it says "Insert Disc"
Step 2. Put the slide card into the tray and slide it to the right until the tray comes out a little bit, when the tray comes out use your slide card and pull toward you to completely open your tray.
Step 3. Put the backup game into your tray and push the tray in with your hand(do not press the eject button)
Step 4. After you close the tray, put the slide card in again and slide it to the right. This time when the tray comes out a little bit.Hold the left side of the slide card so it doesn't come out and pull the right side toward you but make sure the left side is still in the tray. So now you move the slide card to the right and you push the right side in again and now move the slide card to the left making the tray close.
    Step 5.Press X

But what program did you use to burn the actual game?

ggadt you shouldn't use dvd-rws becasue most ps2s dont read them also lower your burning speed to speed one.

+R's dont burn slower than 2.4, they can NOT be physically burnt to at 1X like DVD-R. Burn speed does matter to some extent, but the most important part is using GOOD discs. I use Ritek G04's, burnt at 4X always, never a disc read error or a problem.
