    Hey Y'all,
Need some quick help for something I'm sure is quite simple, yes I've been around long enough to know to search the posts before I throw in the white flag and ask for help, but it relates to another question. How do you pull a game on to a usb from your PC and load it into your Wii if the usb has other information on it? I only have a blank 4 gig usb and I imagine since the games are 4.7 gigs it won't fit, is that correct? The only other thumb drive I have is a 16 gig, and it has info I can't delete. I suppose that opens this question, if the game is "scrubbed" down to say 1.8 gigs, will it fit on my 4 gig card? Not sure how that would work since once you extract any game and prepare to burn it, the file size is 4,699,979,776 bts regardless of the original file size, how am I doin' so far? If you can't load a game onto a usb containing other info, I suppose I could just temporarily load all the info on it to one of my 3 PC's, use the 16 gig usb to transfer the game and return the data back when I'm done. Oh, and I normally burn discs, this is my first attempt to go the usb route, after the last game was burned I got a 1048 disc read error which never happens, I use only Verbs and burn at 2X. I have a modded Wii, not the newer ones that don't read burned discs so you don't go in that direction with your advice. My Wii hasn't been adjusted to handle PAL files yet, which I'd love to do (ahem!) but this file is an NTSC. Lastly, may I ask why when searching for information under "consoles" the PS2 is broken down into a dozen user-friendly catagories and the Wii is just one, "Wii discussion"? Isn't the latter more accessed today? It would make searching for info like this much easier that has surely been answered. As it stands now, when we "noobs" search Wii, all we're really directed to is a google search that points you to the most popular word association for your inquiry, I'd just imagine it would save many redundant questions if we could navigate the info on Wii if it were laid out as "user-friendly" as the PS2 menus you guys have. I'm sure there's a definitive answer you mods in your infinite wisdom have for the spread as it reads today, just a friendly question I'm sure many nobs would like to know so we don't bother you with the "obvious". But please remember, no matter how easy it is, it's only "obvious" when you know how to do it.
As always, thank you for your valuable time and opinions. I love AD

If you've managed to scrub the file down to under 4 gigs it will fit onto the 4gb thumb drive. Use WBFS manager, format the 4gb drive to WBFS and stuff on as many games as you can.

As for the 16gb drive it would need to be partitioned, one partition will be FAT(for your files you don't want to delete, make sure to back them up before formatting, then slide them back on once formatted), the other partition will be WBFS. When formatting make sure to select the FAT partition as primary, mark them both as primary if you can(I know that doesn't really make sense, but it works). Then you can slide games on to the WBFS partition with WBFS manager, and preserve your files on the FAT partition.

I'm a little confused by this line of your post, "I suppose I could just temporarily load all the info on it to one of my 3 PC's, use the 16 gig usb to transfer the game and return the data back when I'm done"

Where are you transferring the game to? Another pc?

As always, thanks for your assistance. What I meant by the last line is I suppose I could just move all the data I have on the 16 gig usb thumb drive on to my PC, thus emptying the 16 gig drive up totally, and just put it back on there when I'm done. I've never partitioned anything before, but I'm sure directions will be easy enough to find. Hit me up next time you're on if you would. Thanks
