    Hello,

I was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade the firmware of my 360 dvd without have a SATA conection on my PC.

From what I have read the X360USB is only compatable with the Hitachi-LG GDR 3120L drive at the moment and I think from looking at picture of different drives I have the samsung/toshiba drive.

I have seen that it is possible to buy a SATA to USB 2.0 adapter for the PC so you are able to connect SATA devices to a PC but from reading some posts on this forum it seems that this will not work.

I'm new to all this and I'm probably missing something really obvious, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thank

Though I should add that I only have a laptop so adding a SATA connection might prove difficult.

    Thanks
