Help! Xvid and DivX movie playback problems in XP

    Hi, im hoping someone can help me with a playback problem....

    I used to have Win2000 on my PC and movies played back perfectly....now ive put WinXp on and the movies now jerk around and are off much poorer quality....

    Can anyone tell me why this is please?
    Ive tried re-installing codecs, but nothing has worked as yet.....

    I admit that i'm not a master at computer stuff, but i found that the DivXG400 codec will play most movies fine - even ones from P2P networks like Kazaa.
    Oh and if by chance u find a codec pack called Nimo on the net - i strongly advise not installing it - it causes more bad things than good !
