    the regular xbox DVD drive.
everything worked fine on my modded xbox until i put that damn game in!
is there any way i can get my xbox to work again?
i cant even play originals, should i just replace the DVD drive in the console? or is there another way?

You could try that. When I asked that I assumed you knew the manufacturer of your drive. Thomson is the least disireable and most prone to failure. Your laser may be out. You may want to try some other trouble shooting before buying another drive.

i have had games work and some not work. But none have ever effected my DVD drive? It did not do any sort of update like the dashboard or Xbox Live did it?

How is your Xbox modded, softmod or modchip?
