Previously flashed drive at LT 1.6, Hit 78fk spoofed as 0047. Trying to get it back to original, so that I can update the dash, then go to 3.0.

I must have spoofed it years ago when I did the 1.6, because the drive says it's a 78fk on the case, but Jungleflasher shows it as Firmware 0047.

I have the HIT-OFW.bin from when I did the 1.6 years ago.

I can get to mode-B fine. Then hit restore FW. Completes, and shows key name 787878787878787878787... etc... Which we know won't work. So, I have reloaded the OFW from two years ago, shows an actual key, then manually select the Original FW from Latest IXtreme download, for 0047. (In FW 32 tab) then go back to Hitachi tab, and say restore Firmware. It all looked good. But putting it back in the 360, I get the Right single red light. Which I think just means wrong drive -- keys to match, or drive disconnected. Etc...
When I connect the drive back to JF, it shows FW Ver 0047 in Hit tab port properties, but when I hit refrsh, text says 78/79. Which is what it originally said anyway.

I'm just wondering if there is another way with JF to do this.

Thinking about this -- I think the issue is, that I would need a 0047 in order to get back to stock and do the update. Once the drive is spoofed to another model. Since the board would be looking for the 0047 as stock. Once I get it to stock, then I could spoof to whatever.

    Does that sound right?

I'm talking to myself here. But thought I'd update. I think I've lost my mind. I pulled this xbox out of the closet. It was one of my earliest ixtreme flashed machines. Maybe it was 1.1. And working like a champ years ago before storing it away. In taking it apart, and after getting the DVD firmware to stock -- I tested and found the single red light. Blinking. (I hadn't tested it before trying to downgrade after all these years, and assumed that it was in the same state that I had left it) Finally hooked it up to a monitor, and it's an E74. I had assumed that this machine was fine, and that the red light was due to a bad flash. But if I recall... That doesn't happen! (Bad flash can cause play DVD, etc... Correct me if wrong.) What finally got me around to thinking about this, is that I found the original drive. It had been flashed to 1.1, and had the laser replaced -- before it failed and I spoofed the 79FK to the 47. It was indeed a Hitachi 47DJ. I thought -- Great! I can connect it, and at least update the dash. And if need be, extract the key from this to be sure that the one that I am using is correct... But this one got the E74 as well. It's all great news. Better the HANA (or general MB issue) than no key!!
