Recently I have been ready about adding non-sony HDD to a PS2. I have found the HDD I think I am going to use, the Hitachi Deskstar 7K250 (Hitachi / 80GB / 7200 / 2MB / ATA-100 / EIDE Hard Drive). Now since I have to buy it, I have no way of knowing for sure if it going to fit on the PS2 network adapter. So if anybody has tried this HDD, you could let me know if it works. Just for more information I have the new PS2 plus (V. 10) with the stock network adapter. Plus if anybody knows of any other HDD booting software other than HDAdvance I would be interested to here about it.

    Thanks

They have a list of drives and compatibility.

All Hitachi drives listed are fully compatible. Its likely that your drive will work. The model numbers may make more sense to you.

HDLoader is the original HDD boot software. HD Advance is supposedly a ripoff of this.
