home network set up

    hello i need help in setting up a home network, so i can send and receive files and pics etc from each computer. i have tried using the windows network wizard but no joy. i have a netgear router (for broadband)a wired pc and a wireless laptop these are what i want to connect on the network?

    More details would help.
    Connect them first, then use the wizard, and write down all the details you put in there. This will help you when you go to the second machine.
    Try hard wiring both to the router until you get them talking, then work on the wireless as that's another bag of worms.
    You also have to setup [configure] the router.

    Write down all details, such as user id, passwords, name of domain, etc..
