If you want excellent quality and ease of use, I use DVD Shrink to rip and DVD Decrypter to burn. The best thing about these progs, they are free. Can you beat free? Easy to use, excellent quality, and free. Ask anyone here, they will tell you. Did I mention the free part?

there are heaps of programs that you can use.
Shrink is actually a really good one, good if you want to cut menus and extras out and just have the movie there.

I also use clone dvd (but you will need to run Slysoft Anydvd running in the background. This program will bypass both the css and rce protections.)

    enjoy

I used DVD shrink, that grabed the data from the DVD fine, but when i burnt it to a blank DVD (using ROXIO) then played it back, it displaed UNKNOWN FILE FORMAT.

What is a good program to burn it with? Nero?

either let shrink burn with nero (if you have it) or dvd decrypter (free). Roxio, in most cases, will not work.
