    Hello:

I cannot get my Nero Express 6.3 to lower its write speed below 8X? When setting up a burn I'm given a choice from the dropdown menu (reads Maximum by default and then has 48X down to 4X), naturally I choose 4X but it keeps burning at 8X which is what my media is rated at (FUJI DVD-R).

Burns are successfull but having playback problems (disc error) on standalone player, hoping a slower burn speed will fix it? BTW, this is a backup on a 3.1GB non-CSS original which plays fine on ALL of my players (computer and standalone).

BTW, is Nero Express 6.3 sufficient for doing successful dvd-r backups? I see others using Nero Ultra etc? Is Express good enough? Also, will express work with Shrink and Decrypter?

nero is fine for copying non protected dvd,
if its protected, you cannot use it.

    you can use shrink/nero
or you can use shrink/decrypter...without the need for nero

    hi

sounds like CDR speed? not DVDR speed!

ok use nero [bold]Nero DriveSpeed [/bold] in the start menu under tool kit...it will place itself in system tray!!!! use it from there!!!

it will read your drives speeds!

I have the same problem with NERO...when I put in a 4X disc, the only option I have is 4X...I can't slow it down to 2x or 1x.
