hi i downloaded about 7 movies they are all in mpg format and i dont want to make them to dvds yet so how could i make them smaller so they could all fit in a cd-r(700mb) so when i want to make them to a dvd i could just put in the cd-r and the files would be there what program could i use so it could compress the files example (spider man 2 (698mb) the cd-r has only (700mb) how could i maake spiderman 2 and other movies smaller so it could fit in a cd-r please help thnx.......
Run Winrar and use the wizard. When your at the choose achieve screen make sure you click browse and select where to save the files. Make sure you read the screen during the achieve options this is when you tell it to make the parts small enough to go on cd's (drop down menu at the bottom). You can select all of your video files at the same time to get the most out of your cd's. If you do it that way you can't open up single video files without extracting the whole thing.
