how do I burn a DVD with a file from the internet in the wrong format

    I am having a problem burning movies I download from the internet. Can anyone help?

    This is not a question about media. But ill answer anyway. You need to find out what the extension of the movie is. To do this go to the folder your Movies are saved at. Click on tools/folder options/View Tab then down the list uncheck the box that says hide file extensions for known file types.

    Then click ok at the bottem and it will show you what extension the file usses. Then go to a search site and type in

    Example: if its an AVI extension then type AVI to DVD or whatever format you want to convert it to and download the oprpriate program search finds for you.

    If you are downloading them from a Torrent site, you will have to use Win-Rar or WinAce to "unzip" them first. After using Win-Rar, you can then use Nero to burn the image....
