I have been trying to figuire out how to compress an avi file from 700mb to less a size so i can upload it onto a torrent site.I know it can be done since i have dowloaded files that are less than half the size.Can someone please give me a step by step guide on how to do this thanks
Winrar cannot compress data that is already compressed. AVI files are heavily compressed. You will have to re-encode the AVI at a lower bit rate. Anyway, don't you upload torrents to torrents sites?
No i dont usually upload torrents to sites but i want to share a couple of films i have. they are not really avi files though they are full dvds i have the odd couple sammo hung and police story 2 jackie chan.can you tell me how to compress these file4s so i can upload them onto a torrent site.I dont want to have to upload them at the full size it will take to long please help thanks
