Recently due to my new DSL connection I have downloaded dozens of movies onto my hard drive.
I would like to know if there is any way to convert them to DVD format so that I can watch it on a stand alone DVD player.
    I have a DVD writer!

    Plz help !!

If they're .mpg files, they're normally already in VideoCD-compatible format -- burn them to CDs and they run on your DVD player nicely. Instructions for VCD burning can be found from here:

And as far as AVI goes, use TMPGEnc (download it from our software archive) to encode them to DVD format and use some authoring tool to author a new DVD-Video disc and burn it.
