how do i copy from hi8mm to my pc?

    i have loads of hi8mm tapes that i want to be able to put onto a cdr, but i am a bit new to to all this, i have an nvidia geforce 420 graphics card that has a yellow rca plug and a svideo plug...any suggestions?

    You need a way to get the video onto your computer.
    If the cam has USB or firewire outputs, it's easy.
    If not, you'll need some sort of capture device, usually a PCI card.
    One could put the tape into the cam, pipe the cam into a VCR, then connect VCR to the capture card.
    Software takes care of the rest.

    Check the Nvidia cards documentation- are those connections for OUTPUT only? If so, then you'll have to follow reboot's suggestions as that card won't accept INPUT.
