how do i get copied ps2 games to play

    hi
    i have copied psx2 games on nero on a dvd-r i have a flip top lid on my psx2 but can't get them to play what am i doing wrong

    yes i've got a swap disc for dvd copys

    Well, what game are you trying to play? Also, do you know how to use the swap magic discs?

    ive tried the great escape and socom i know how to use the swap disc they seem to load then they are freezing on the first pic that comes on the screen

    what brand dvd-r are you using? If it cheap stuff, probably won't work.

    try better media, verbatim, fuji, memorex, etc.

    dont own either of these two games but may be worth checking if they are double check games cos if they are you will need a program like cdloader as well as swapmagic to boot them.

    it lets you load certain games that wont work with SMD alone. Can get it at http://www.ps2ownz.com. But, i have socom and don't need it to load. Those discs should work, but i wouldn't recommend burning at 4X for games.

    I'm not too sure about backing up dvd games, you first you decript a game then you burn it like how you burn a regular DVD rom? what Media is good? I tried memorex doesn't work.

    I use memorex and they work fine. For burning games, open dvd decrypter and click mode->iso->read to create an iso image of the game. Then click mode->iso->write to burn the game. Thats all there is to it. You do need a modchip or swap magic though.
