Ok, I have a Pioneer 105 DVD burner and run Nero to burn DVD's. So far I have been very happy with being able to burn DVD's but I do not seem to be abel to work out how I get Nero to convert AVI's to the VOB, IFO and BUP files it needs.
    Help!

    Easiest solution:
Purchase (or see if it came with your drive, I got it with both of mine) Sonic MyDVD. You should be able to import your AVI into it and create a DVD. It costs around $80

    Bester Solution:
First you will need to encode your AVI to an MPEG-2. You can use Cinema Craft Encoder or TMPGEnc 2.57. Both have demo's available but with CCE it adds a logo to your output and TMPGEnc expires after 30days (unless you live in the future). Or youc an try bbMPEG it's free (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Encoders/MPEG2/bbmpg12418.zip)
This process will take several hours. Then you will need a program to allow you to create the DVD structure.

For the simplest method, use IFOEdit.

At the top, click DVD AUTHOR >> AUTHOR NEW DVD.

Then just put your video and audio files in the right spots.

The program will create the .vob, .bup, .ifo files and you can just drag those into ImageTool and burn (Or nero as long as you have 5.5.10 or better).

If you need further help with this or with these programs check out the download and Guides sections there.
