i recently had a problem burning discs on my HP QSI DVD-CDRW SBW-081 Drive. I figured out that the problem was attributable to the installation of Mcafee's Virus Protection Software. I uninstalled that, but the problem still exists. I've been told that i just need to reset my software settings, but i'm unsure of how to do this. Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Uninstall your cd burning applications(reboot pc) then install ASPI Layer(reboot pc) then reinstall your cd burning software. If you still have confilicts then try another cd burning program such as DeepBurner (freebie).
Right click drive C:>Properties>Tools (tab folder) and choose error checking. Click check now and enable "automatically fix file system errors& scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. Reboot your pc (again).
