First off, thanks to everyone who's posts I've read in the past. They've helped me out a lot. Now I need some more help... I've been reading and hearing that I need to set my burner to read at the lowest possible setting, namely 1x. Every time I try to use DVD Decrypter to read the disc, I keep getting an error in the log window of :

    Selected Read Speed: 1,385 KB/s (1x)
    Actual Read Speed: 16,572 KB/s (12x)

I have a LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-812S if this information helps. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance to all!

read speed doesn't matter. write speeds does. lowest WRITE speed. since you have a lite on find omnipatcher and a stock 812s firmware and then change the media's write speeds like putting them all to 1x etc.

    Thanks!

By the way, the firmware won't set the write speed to 1x permanently, will it?

nope it just adds 1x option. make sure to select 1x to every dvd-r media there.
