OGM files are a non-standard, VfW based hackery abusing the Ogg container. There are not even specs for them, they were done by a single person named Tobias Waldvogel for his private use, and were never intended to spread so widely.

Best wax to treat them is transmuxing into MKV files, mkvmerge from the mkvtoolnix package ( http://mkvmerge.matroska.org ) can do this for you in less than 3 minutes, and in a lossless process.

Linux was also made by a single guy for his own use, and look at it now!

Although i do really like the look of your MKV/A and would like to see that as the new standard ;)

.. sure, but Linus cared about his baby for a long time. OGM was abandoned by his 'father' , Tobias Waldvogel, not even 6 months after it was born.

Thanks ! We do have a growing a number of fans since more than 2 years now, let's see how far we can get ;) ...
