How do people make emulators? How do they make roms? Do they actually copy information off the game cartridge, or do they reprogram the whole thing?

emulators are digital scematics of the system being emulated . they take the sistem chipsets and other major components and then program them into the pc and compile it to play on a spesific console. roms or made by taking the the game card and puting it inot a device whitch yo ucan buy on ebay or some peple make them but you take the game card put it into the device then it copys the data to a disk and you can nor put it on the pc. all of this is highly tecnical and you would need programing enginering skills to do it yourself.
