    Hi people,

    Can someone help me?
    I downloaded DVD Identifier to find out if my DVD+R's are of a good quality. But I don't know how to read the information which comes out after running te program. Thanks for your help. Sorry for my poor English...

    Well lets see if I can help you out.

    Here's a sample of the info we get.....(I've added some numbers to indentify some things)

    [bold]1---->[/bold]Unique Disk Identifier: [DVD+R:RICOHHJPN-R01-002]
    Disk & Book Type: [DVD+R] - [DVD+R]
    Manufacturer Name: [Ricoh Co. Ltd.]
    Manufacturer ID: [RICOHJPN]
    Media Type ID: [R01]
    Product Revision: [002]
    Blank Disk Capacity: [2,295,104 Sectors = 4,482.6MB = 4.38GB (4.70GB)]
    [bold]2---->[/bold]Recording Speeds: [1x , 2.4x, 4x]

    1---->this is the Disk ID. It tells what format (+R, +RW, -R, -RW) the disc is and the ID of the manufacturer.
    2---->this tells us what speeds we can set our burner to write at when we use our burn program.

    Now off we go to this site here......
    http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
    to find out if the ID indicates that we have a quality disc.

    Hope this helps a little.
