Execute-In Computer Terms. to run (a program or routine) or to carry out (an instruction in a program).

It just means start the program.

If you are installing custom firmware then just follow the guide. Even easier would be to just use the relevant winstaller.

If you want to open a eboot file you need PBP Unpacker
dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=8808 heres the link to it

Guide to inside a PBP file

DATA.PSP: this is a psp executable you can not edit or modify this.
    similar to a PC's EXE

PARAM.SFO: this is a configuration file, edit this might make the eboot not work best left alone

DATA.PSAR this is similar to a dll file it as all the configuration (prx) and data files DATA.PSAR are mainly used for updates

    ICON0.PNG Small preview picture |
    ICON1.PMF Small preview video |
PIC0.PNG Overlay picture |--- These files are used when you
PIC1.PNG Large preview picture | highlight the program in the psp
SND0.AT3 audio file | game menu

AT3 files are renamed wav files rename a at3 to wav and it will play in windows media player

you cant modify a eboot file but if the source code for the program you want to modify is out you can modify the source code and compile your own psp executable

    Hope this Guide helps you
