    Hi,

I have a Xvid movie that I 'think' has digital sound for the audio but when I play it, it only plays the sound from the front 2 speakers like normal stereo.

This is the info from the movie from AVIcodec:

    File : 1.37 GB (1.37 GB), duration: 1:35:04, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 79 %
    Video : 1.11 GB, 1675 Kbps, 23.976 fps, 640*368 (16:9), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4, Supported
    Audio : 261 MB, 384 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 6 channels, 0x2000 = AC-3 ACM Decompressor, Supported

I have my sound card connected to my home theatre receiver using the optical wire but I don't get the 6 channel sound, how do I get it to work?

    Thank you

I'm sorry I figured out the problem.

I downloaded the ac3filter thing and opened the AC3Filter Config and set my speakers to SPDIF, and now my Xvid movie is playing the 5.1 sound.
