how long has this bin going on

    hi everybody
    im trying to convert avi files to dvd
    ive been doing it with nero but i cant check it before burning and some dvds was out of sync (audio/video)
    im now trying a program called cucusoft avi to dvd converter but has taken 14 hours.
    this cant be right as im still waiting for it to finish can anybody give me advice on how to convert
    avi to dvd with speed and good quality

    I have been using winavi which will normally convert a full avi film in to dvd format in around 1 hour with good results.

    hi john ive tryed winavi it converted it in 1 hour
    but when i burned it it was black and white and played in slow motion on my ps2 i used nero 6
    i know its not the discs coz thay are ok when i burn from an origanal dvd
    please help

    Which section of the software did you use i use the batch section which converts with good results.Is it a Pal avi.If not you may need to convert it with something like tmpgenc.
