it depends on what format the file in is...
if it is a bunch of .rar files then you first need to extract the files, then you make the extracted file into an .iso file (using a programme such a Qwix or xiso), after you have created the .iso file you just burn it to a normal DVD-R...really simple

if it is already in .iso format then all you have to do is burn it to a disc and it will work...of coarse you will first need a DVD writer to do this (burn the game).

Thanks dossie. Can you give a bit more info. Is this a hardware or software mod? What is the best thing to use?

There's a hardware mod that's implanted into the xbox by opening the xbox (voiding the warantee) and taking everything out, and then there's a way to softmod using Action Replay and a Memory card to use the exploit. I used the Softmod method, since it was cheaper and more reliable (i really don't like buying off the internet to be honest) If you're a n00b at computers or networking, do softmod. If something goes wrong, you can always run the exploit and do a C-restore. However, if you put an actual mod chip in the xbox, you will void the warantee, and if something seriously goes wrong, you're screwed.

UnRAR ONE of the files. In that one file (any one that you pick) should be the iso. I know it sounds strange, but some people put codenames at the end of their files for identification. I hate that too.

    Wait a minute...

That file that you saw as a Winrar file, what was it's extension? Was it an iso file? Or was it some kind of other file?

Pretty much. You need an XISO program to make the proper iso that's compatible with the xbox.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, you download a game. Unpack ONE of the rar-files with Winrar or similar.
Turn this into an ISO-file by using Xiso or similar.
Burn it on a DVD or upload to harddrive on Xbox using Ftp...?
What do you do when the downloaded files aren't .rar?
Downloaded NHL 2005 and all I got was a bunch of files named; nl5x-dgr.001,nl5x-dgr.002 and so on...
    What do I do?

Unpack one of those as well. DGR is just a group that makes those files (it's not really a file extension). Just unpack one with winrar, and the files or the iso should be there.
