    Hello

i just bought my dvd-wr an i'm still learning how to use it
now i have a smole problem: intil now i used Verbatim dvd-r
an i just bought some dvd+r
and when i try to burn them i get this message: " sorry, your compilation cannot be written on this kind of disk.please insert a disc of the corect type or modify the settings of your compilation to make it compatible with the current disc."and it ejects the disc.
now i know that mi drive can whrite dvd+r.
my dilema is how to change the settings

Is your burner a dual format burner?

What brand name and model # is it?

What is the brand name and speed rate of those dvd+r's?

When it comes to switching back and forth with dash and plus formats, you don't have to do anything. Just slap in any disc-hopefully high quality.
It's whether your burner will support both formats and if it does, then it's up to the burner's firmware.

    I have a Pioneer 109 with the features: dvd-+r, dvd-+wr, dvd doble layer-+r.cd-r and cd-rw

    the discs are Evol 8X
i tried to burne them at 4x (this is the maximum speed the drive showed me)

I have a Philips DVDRW and it was necessary to update the firmware before the drive could used with all types of DVD's... DVD-R & DVD+R & DL.

    You may need an update
