HOW to Convert MP2 to MP3???

    Hi, I used EMPenc <----spelling? and extracted a 2MB audio file (MP2) now that I have the MP2 file how can I convert it to MP3 so I can burn an audio CD using Nero?

    Have you tried renaming?

    Another option would be using foobar2000's (http://foobar2000.hydrogenaudio.org) diskwriter to convert to uncompressed .wav and burn the .wav file(s) with nero.

    I had the same problem a few days ago all i did was to change the extension from mp2 to mp3 then i opened it with a music editor and then saved it to mp3 again just in case it didnt work, hope this helps

    If you open and save it you'll re-encode = quality loss. Better save uncompressed - you'll delete the huge .wav files after burning anyway.
