    Hello people,

This is my first post on this nice forum. I dont have any advanced knowledge on DVD's and this might be a noobish question:

I have a film with high resolution.
The resolution of this .avi film is 1280 x 720.
The codec is WMV3 and a52 sound codec.
The size of this film is: 3.839.287.296 bytes (3.57GB)

Now my question is. I want to convert this .avi file into a DVD movie without loosing quality.

As far as I know a DVD has much lower video quality. But that is as far as I know.

1--> Is it possible to have a high resolution (1280x720) DVD?

2--> How do I convert this .avi file into high resolution DVD?
(Note please: That I am not talking about a regular conversion like it is described here: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm)

3--> Suppose I somehow convert the file without quality loss into a DVD, will it look decent on a PAL-BG TV ?

For now these are my questions. Thanks in front for any usefull and constructive help.)

    greetz,

I am also v.interested in the reply. I'm sure it's possible. I don't need it to be cost-free, I just want a reliable way that doesn't take much hands-on time. I'm capturing video from a driving simulator.
