How to disable my on borad graphic card??

    Hi there I just got a new ATI-x1950 graphic card and i wanted to disable the on board graphic card. I was wondering if I can just disable it though Device Manager?? or is there other ways to disable the on board graphic card?? I just don't to damage my pc so can anyone give me some advice on how to disable the on board graphic card. Thank you.

    Usually an option in the bios to disable onboard graphics.

    Ya ok i disable the card and install the new graphic card and the drive, but when I run a game it froze and crash. What did i do wrong?? Thanks

    That could be a tonne of reasons.

    First things first have you installed the latest drivers for your graphics card?

    also check game site for patches, updates & faq in reference to your videocard.

    Thanks for replying everyone, so far I DL and install the latest ATI driver for my Graphic card and it is still the same....it froze or the blue screen. Is there anymore thing else i can do??

    Yes I did, i Download it from the ATI website and install it in to my pc.

    Ok,

    Have you checked that the graphics card is indeed upto the game your trying to play?

    Also as im off now check the following:


    Temps of system.

    Memcheck for faulty ram.

    Try benchmarking see if that freezes it if it does it has nothing to do with graphics card.

    Try reappyling thermal paste if temps to high.

    Thats all i can think of right now but its 1 am here soo off to bed!!
