how to finalize dvd

    I have a hitchi dvd cam #BX35A. No manual. Does anyone know the steps on how to finalize the dvd?? The Hitachi website is no help. Thank You!!!

    I have a I believe its a Funai SV2000 and i am trying to back up a vhs on a dvd. I think i have done everything that can be done it is that it wont read on other machines. i was wondering is there more that i need to do?
