How to Fit a Film on a 4.7GB Disc

    I have recently wanted to back-up some of my DVDs so i used Smart Ripper to burn the films on to my hard drive (vob files) i than tried to burn then on to disk with nero it then said that the files were no compatible even thogh nero says it can burn vob files. can any one tell what i can do

    I haven't used SmartRipper much, but you might try giving DVD Decrypter a go for ripping your disc :)

    What you should really do is try DVDshrink. It's way easier than smart ripper. Smart ripper is more of a tool to use when you are trying to make your own menus or author your own DVD. It has alot of options you dont need for merely backing up your DVD movie.It's not really for a novice user. DVDshrink will do exactly what you are wanting to do plus shrink large movies to fit on a smaller disk.. There are alot of guides and people here that know tons about it. Just do a search for "using dvdshrink" You will find everything here you want to know
