Hello , I have Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3 and Outlook Express does not have spell checker. On my other computer running same OS it did. Does anyone know how to make spell checker function?

    web search brought up this
    http://www.pchell.com/support/spellcheck.shtml

not a good idea to install ms office if it's already activated on another computer without deleting it first,so apart from utility the article mentions to use.

there are other free office alternatives in no particular order
    libra office
    open office
    apache

Just installed that Spell Checker for OE 2.1 and there is still no Spell Checker function in Outlook Express. Any suggestions.

the "abc spelling" is not to the right of "check" for check names?

Yes, the "abc spelling" is present but "greyed out", meaning it is not functional.

Actually I have Office 2010 installed and yesterday I installed Office 1997 as well, as I thought this would solve it but it hasn't. So perhaps I should just uninstall Office 2010 as I have OE 6 and it says in the article that it isn't compatible as such with Office 2010.
