I have a Actiontec DSL modem/wireless router from Qwest. It features 802.11G wireless capabilities. The modem is on the first floor of my house, on the east side. My PS3 is in the basement, one floor down, and near the west side of the house. Below my modem in the basement is the utility room (furnace, hot water heater, air exchanger, etc...). I get a 47-52% signal with my Actiontec and I am always dropping the connection. Downloads take FOREVER. Today I bought a Linksys wireless N router. I got it all hooked up to my Actiontec and re did the PS3 wireless connection. The signal is the same and I am still dropping the connection. I was under the belief that "N" was much, much better tha "G". Is it possible I did something wrong? The PS3 does recognize the new "network" of the Linksys router, and I did turn off the wireless connectivity on the actiotec. Thanks in advance.
