    Hey all:
Kind of new to most of this, but I have music (mp3) on external HD.
When I view this music with itunes, all have tags showing song title artist, album etc...
But when I select songs and burn a CD, it only shows up on the CD as
    Track 1.cda, Track 2.cda etc...
What am I doing wrong when burning the CD with itunes?
In some instances, when I have burned a complete album to CD all the info is carried to CD, but when I select individual songs or take a complete album and then add several songs to fill up CD, none of the tag info is brought to the CD.

Do I have a burn setting wrong on itunes?

I don't have a ipod, so don't really know why I am using itunes other than it was convenient to get and see music library.
Been thinking of getting Nero, as it will help with DVDshrink burning of DVD's. Good idea??

You're not doing anything wrong. You get tags with mp3s. You don't get them with Audio CD tracks. That Track1.cda, etc is what the tracks look like if you put an audio CD in a PC drive. Try it with a shop bought pressed CD.

You can burn the mp3 files as a data CD (ISO) and then you will keep the tags, and Nero will do that for you. But you won't be able to play the disk in most CD players.

you can also burn "audio cd" with nero. there is an option to burn
cdtext to audio cd. You have to manually type in album, artist.
it will use file names to label tracks with cdtext.

IIRC Nero will pull the data from the MP3 tags (if present).
