Sorry if this question has been answered elsewhere but I have just bought some Ritek-R G04 with the silver top. I want to know what type of marker I should get or if I can print out labels and stick them on the top?

i use non-permanent OHP pens here at work... and at home...

apparently permanent can burn thru the coating over a period of time... but that was mentioned about 8 years ago - i think we have generally come a long was since then...

i have found all ritek disks to have great writeable surfaces with these pens

    Hi,

Rarely for CDR's where you're writing directly on the reflective layer but DVD's are constructed differently. There are two coatings over the reflective layer so permanent markers are absolutely fine.

    Long live the Sharpie!

    Good link to check out:

    Enjoy :)
