I have a backup copy of a game that I burnt at a friend's place, but when I try to play the game with the backup it just keeps asking for the original CD. My CD drive is justa regular drive, not a CDRW or DVD or anything which I've seen mentioned.

Can anyone tell me how to make the backup copy work, otherwise I see no reason to make backups if they don't work. Thanks for your help.

What game are you trying to play? Many games have fancy protection schemes that have to be overcome during the burning process. How did you back up your game? What program did you use? How fast did you burn?

The Game is Black & White. I'm not really sure what program or speed was used as my friend did the actual burning.
