Is there a way to place a burned copy of a ps3 games without a mod and taking it apart? Because I do not want to void the warranty and place harm to my system; other than getting the game to work, maybe.

Never. This isnt the good ol' days when you can copy a floppy directly and it'll play on all systems.

Cosoles can tell if it's a pressed disk or a burned disk. And with other anti-piracy features the only way you will ever get a system to run pirated software is to mod it one way or another.

Now you mod your ps3 with a dongle, does not require taking it apart, but of course you have to be on firmware 3.55 and stick to it as updating will remove the hack and currently all newer firmwares are unhacked.
You can also do the above, and when needed update to official firmware and then downgrade again, but not a good idea to flash your ps3 repeatedly.

Also there is no way to play a game from a dual layer DVD, with newer games these must be burned to a bluray, older games can be played from the harddrive.
