I bought a dvd that is a region 2 dvd. All of my players say they only play region 1 discs. Is there a way to make it work? If I burn a copy of this disc, will it play it then?

best way is to get a player that plays both region 1 and 2,or all regions

    example
    http://www.regionfreedvd.net/

    Region code Area
0 Informal term meaning "playable in all regions"
1 Bermuda, Canada, United States and U.S. territories
2 The Middle East, Western Europe, Central Europe, Egypt, French overseas territories, Greenland, Japan, Lesotho, South Africa and Swaziland
3 Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea and Taiwan
4 Australia, New Zealand, Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, Oceania and South America (sans French Guyana)
5 The rest of Africa, Former Soviet Union, the Indian subcontinent, Mongolia and North Korea
    6 Mainland China
7 Reserved for future use (found in use on protected screener copies of MPAA-related DVDs, and "media-copies" of pre-releases in Asia)
8 International venues such as aircraft, cruise ships, etc.

I bought a Cyberhome 300 DVD player that said on the ad, "plays any dvd regardless of region and format." When I got it yesterday it has Region 1 stamped on the back, and the manual don't show any way to make it play a region 2 disc. Has anybody had any experience with this player? Or did I get screwed on it?
