how to prevent mod chip overheating

    [bold]i have a magic 3.1 and i heard it can overheat easily. are there any ways i can prevent it from over heatin?

    I haven't tried this with modchips. but try using thermal compound. apply thin coat on top of the chip
    place some double side stick tape between the modchip and the board (enough tape so the top of the chip touches the metal cover when reinstalled). put tape over leads and solder points so they cant short out. if the chip heats up the thermal compound will help dissipate the heat to the metal cover acting as a heat sink.
